CAMP
went for camp on friday night..
our own camp for junior batch and above... without freshies..
*first in 5 years (felt abit heng)
Day1:
register.. then dinner..
played 3 games after dinner..
project runway, 100s no NG, pockey cow.
i enjoyed myself for the 3 games played.
the games were fun.
but i feel whats more important is the objective and the meaning of the games.
time management were the main issue during the 3 games and it IS an issue in our club.
for project runway, we did not complete our task in time.
and the game masters had to extend the time given.
i tink we have to learn from this because productions cant be postponed ><
so Chin, no more latecoming and last minute work =X
for 100s no NG, the stations were quite tedious.
takes quite some time to complete each station.
and once any member at any station made a mistake, we have to restart from station 1.
it's like, even when we are given a difficult routine, we still have to put in our best to practice and master it within a period of time given to us.
and in any routines, i feel that we should not make the same mistake more than 1 time.
jus like when cleaning steps, if we made a simple mistake eg. different angle, we have to restart that 'Eight' again.
everyone as a part to play in the team.
through this, we oso had a better understanding of each others' strengths and weaknesses.
for eg. my group put me at the station where a maths problem have to be solved.
i not saying my maths damn good or wat la. actually my mental sums suck one ><
but maybe this benefits our group more.
like miateck was at the first station drinking water. cos we know he can drink alot.
this is exaclty like task allocation in performance or competitions.
people good in choreoing will naturally help to choreo for the group.
so Chin -please don't make same mistakes in any items over and over again.
-practice makes perfect. although we know perfection is quite unachievable =X
-please take intiative to help people in things which u are good at.
(but, whats my strength?)
last is pockey cow.
firstly, i want to apologise to nicold and shimin again for making u both angry.
i know i might get quite noisy and misbehaved at times. but i'll try to be more disciplined in the future.
my job for this game was to instruct mianbao to overcome obstacles.
she was blind folded. so she couldn't see where am i.
and of course there were people shouting and screaming and imitating me so she will get distracted and lost.
but we were the fastest in the end.
i've learnt that we have to giv clear instructions so that people can carry out wat was being instructed without any doubts.
also, the blind have to take in the correct instructions and ignore the distractors, to reach our goal in the shortest time possible.
slow and steady is the key.
so Chin, don't get distracted easily! and don't rush into things.
bathed
slept at 3plus.
Day2:
woke up at 6am!
morning PT.
Think above the line!
then breakfast.
then went to LT68e. with Ann.
'BELIEVE'
then we had a heart-to-heart-talk session.
actually i feel very happy that many of us actually opened up and share how they felt in the past.
and FRIENDS, if i have neglected any of you at any point in time, or said something in the past which might be hurtful, Im Sorry. really sorry.
anyway, my phone is ON 24 hours so if u all have any thing wanna talk to me can call me BUT NO NONSENSE! haha =)
then lunch together after that.
then we had some free time. most of us slept in the LT.
then chienyen yvonne peiyi orange taught us a set of simple steps to wake us up.
danced to ChickenDance music.
damn funny!
i enjoyed so thanks =D
then played the game by WangQin and Allegra.
main objective is to stay focused.
we cannot get distracted by external sorces like youtube videos.
watch is one thing. but don't go learn those which u cant.
so Chin, FOCUS!
then dinner!!
"Can I serve you?"
it really felt great. to have people serving you.
AS WELL AS serving people. cos you can see their smile when they thank you after u served them.
so, i wanna thank those who served me, and those who allowed me to serve them =)
'Blind Deaf Mute'
last time kanna blind. this time kanna deaf. both oso so difficult.
but thanks Steffi and Orange for being so patient and finish teaching us the routine on time.
we should feel very lucky, that all of us are normal and can dance happily.
Helen Keller after that.
RESPECT to Anne Sullivan and Helen Keller.
their perseverance made everything possible.
"The Greatest Shall Serve"
bathed again!
then chill abit after that.
slept at 2? cant rmb.
Day3:
woke up at 9.

then wrote feedback.
and wrote small notes to thank people.
i wanna thank everyone again for being in this camp!
danced to chickendance music again haha..
